Description of Chez Geek :
Beer. Nookie. Roommates. Just another Friday night at Chez Geek, the fun new card game that lets you set up house with your friends - for as long as you can stand them. Get a job at the beginning of the game, and spend money and time to accumulate Slack points. You can have a party, hang out with friends, dodge losers, and play with the cats. Borrow from your roomies so you can have snacks while you watch TV. What other game gives you points for sleeping? Just look out for the car alarm. Drink, party, and sleep late as you pursue Slack points to win the game.
Just remember, when your roommate and his S.O. keep you up all night: You can't throw them out. They live here.

Customer Reviews
Rating : 9 out of 10 Review by : Drider in the Woods from cyberspace Life is all about slacking off and having a good time. That’s the idea behind Chez Geek, which finds you and the other players in the game as residents of an apartment block. You each have a career, ranging from Drummer through to Corporate Drone. The career you have determines your Slack Goal, which is the amount of slack you have to accumulate to win. Your career also gives you an amount of free time and money to spend, plus an advantage of some description. Play then proceeds with each player taking their turn. You can perform as many actions as you have Free Time. An action could be anything, from sleeping to shopping or even having nookie. As Chez Geek is a Steve Jackson game, you can expect plenty of laughs playing to slack off. Various cards can cut short your fun. Your flatmates could send unwanted guests to your party or have parties of their own. One good section of cards are the television cards. These can be played on yourself to gain Slack or played on someone else to stop them performing another action. This earns them one Slack but may stop them earning more. Television can even be used to stop someone having nookie. With the success of Chez Geek, Steve Jackson then released Chez Geek 2: Slack Attack and Chez Geek 3: Block Party. These expansions brought more jobs, more cards and more fun to the game. Players can get one another fired, steal guests from other people’s parties and even attract Beckett the Dog who scares all cats from the building. On the whole, Chez Geek is a card game for ‘older’ players. Nookie, booze and ‘weed’ are all featured in the games, making it unsuitable for younger players. It’s a great party game which is easy to pick up but incredibly difficult to put down. This game normally forms the basis of our ‘silly games nights’, which sees large groups of people trying to score as much slack from one another before the night is out. Chez Geek has enough cards for 6 players, but each expansion extends the deck to add more people. Groups of 10+ are not unheard of with all 3 expansions put together.
